Welcome to MCS

To create cancer awareness and education programme to the general public the hospital has started a community oncology department. Which is full of activities throughout the year, started by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Bhairo Singh Shikhawat. This hospital has been functioning as a separate department, managed by trained and very dedicated personnels. This department has targeted different schools, colleges with the help of various NGO’s and social activists of the state. This particular department has also taken the cruset against the tobacco in the form of tobacco consumption in general public by Tambaku Mukti Morcha programme. One village Kukuri was also adopted by the institute for monitoring the lifestyle with various types of diseases in rural area.

Supportive services includes:
	CANTEEN(ANJANEYA AHARIKA) Sri Mahavir Sans Than Nays Samiti was contemplating ways & means to provide free meals to the indoor patients of Mahavir Cancer Sansthan in order to lessen the difficulties faced by the poor cancer patient and also to provide meals at subsidized rates to their attendants. To fulfill this dream, His Highness the Governor of Bihar inaugurated the “Free Meal Project” of this Sans than on 10/08/2016.Initial, the project was started with providing one time meal (Dinner) Which was later on added with morning breakfast from 20/10/2016 Now free lunch is also being provided to all indoor patients. The attendants of the patients are also being provided meals at subsidized rate of Rs.30/- per meal during day & night. At least 300 meals & breakfast per day are being provided free of cost to the indoor patients. The project is running successfully.

Two sister concerns of Mahavir Cancer Institute & Research Centre, Mahavir Arogya Sansthan and Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital have been working at a convenient location which is within 7 Km from MCSRC to cater the local population. These hospitals have OPD- General, Surgical, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Urology, Cardiology, Chest disease, Neurology, Rehabilitation, Orthopaedics, Nephrology, Paediatrics, ENT and Department of Opthalmology with all latest facilities.
