Dr. (Prof) Biswajit Sanyal rejoined Mahavir Cancer Sansthan on 18.10.2021. He   served  the Mahavir Cancer  Sansthan  earlier   also from 
      16.01.2017  to  25.03.2020. Dr Sanyal  has academic and  administrative  background. He has done Post-Graduation from AIIMS, New Delhi,  in 1969 and  had  training in radiotherapy in Middlesex  Hospital, London. He  is trained in Nuclear Medicine from London University and Palliative Medicine  from  International School of Cancer  Care, Oxford, U.K. He  served  Banaras  Hindu  University for  12  years and  Sher- i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar  as Director (Professor) for more than 8 years. He has  got  credit   of  establishing  three cancer  hospitals  in the  country as  Founder Director and Head of two Post-Graduate Departments at BHU and Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, Founder Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal, Founder Director, Regional Cancer Centre, Cooch Behar, Head of Department of Radiology  at Dharmshila Cancer  Hospital, New Delhi and Head of the Department of  Navadaya Cancer Hospital, Bhopal. He is a  Post-Graduate  Teacher  since  1974. He has  keen  interest in academic  and  research work.  He has got more than 120 publications in various journals.  He  still  actively  takes  interest  in academic, teaching and research work.  he has also  participated  in the professional body as  Secretary General (Association  of Radiation Oncology   of India) and Chairman, College of Radiation Oncology  of  India,  where he has done  immense  work  in the progress of the Association, including  creating  various Fellowship  Programmes  for  young   Radiation Oncologists   for  their  training  within the country and abroad.
